Every divorce can be difficult, but the more money that is involved, the more difficult it may be to try and create an equitable divorce settlement. For many people in Little Rock, there are important factors that need to be considered during a high-net worth divorce, including who has access to investment and retirement accounts, whether spousal support or alimony needs to be paid, and how to divide real property. With such financial losses at stake, it is important that anyone going through a high-asset divorce works closely with divorce lawyers to ensure his or her interests are properly represented.
The recently divorced Real Housewife of Beverley Hills Adrienne Maloof likely spent considerable time with her divorce lawyer to secure a divorce settlement from her husband Paul Nassif. The two have been battling each other since their separation in July 2012, but it was only recently that the two were finally able to end their marriage and finalize their divorce. With the size of their wealth, an equitable division probably took a lot of time and effort.
The divorce has not been easy for other reasons, too. There have been claims of domestic abuse and child custody issues plaguing the couple since their initial separation. They have put those negative feelings aside, however, in an attempt to protect their children. In a joint statement Maloof and her former husband said that they are trying to ensure their children have “stable and nurturing relationships” with both of them.
The details of their divorce have not yet been released, but it nearly guaranteed that they have worked through dividing the considerable finances, accounts and property they own. As a reality star and a noted plastic surgeon, the wife and husband, respectively, they likely had a lot of marital property to split up.
