NATHAN D. LEWIS

My parents, who became parents when they were teenagers, divorced when I was three years old. Throughout my childhood, I experienced the turmoil and the pain caused by my parents' conflicts. For several years, my siblings and I went back and forth between our parents until my dad lost track of us due to our moving multiple times within a very short time period. I lived several more years with my mom and abusive stepdad until I was reunited with my dad when I was 12. Shortly, thereafter, my mom and dad agreed that I needed to be with my dad and I went to live with him for the remainder of my childhood. Now that I am married with two children of my own, I have an even deeper understanding of the importance of a solid family unit and the child's need for stability and security.

I graduated from Heber Springs High School, and I attended college and law school in Arkansas. I have been a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard since 2004, and I served a one-year tour of duty in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. My military service gives me a unique viewpoint into not only the value of family, but also the importance of competent legal representation for military members or their spouses, in the event of divorce or other family law disputes. I have a special interest in and take pride in representing military families.

I believe my experiences as a child from a broken home and an abusive stepparent to an adult serving in the military with two children of my own lend a unique perspective on all the issues I represent clients in within the realm of Domestic Relations. I strive to include my experiences, both personal and professional, in providing quality representation and advice to all of my clients.
