My parents, who became parents when they were teenagers, divorced when I was three years old. Throughout my childhood, I experienced the turmoil and the pain caused by my parents’ conflicts. I lived for several years with my mom and my stepdad, and at age 12, I went to live with my dad for the remainder of my childhood. Now that I am married with a child of my own, I have an even deeper understanding of the importance of a solid family unit and the child’s need for stability and security.

I graduated from Heber Springs High School, and I attended college and law school in Arkansas. I have been a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard since 2004, and I served a one-year tour of duty in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. My military service gives me a unique viewpoint into not only the value of family, but also the importance of competent legal representation for military members or their spouses, in the event of divorce or other family law disputes. I have a special interest in representing military families.
